Electric fires are very versatile and there is no need for servicing every 12 months, no regulations on installation and flame only option. To run an electric fire with just the flame only costs pennies an hour which is super news with all the rising cost of energy bills.

Electric fires have developed a lot over the years, as they were never very appealing. They ran on a bulb and ribbon flames, which were not desirable for any situation. However, they have come a long way since, electric fires now run-on LED bulbs meaning the bulb life span has increased greatly. They are now much more energy efficient whilst boasting many options, such as colour changing flames and roaring flame sound effects.

An amazing feature of electric fires is that you can have the flame on without the need to have the

heat on. So even on a summers night, when you want to get cosy, you can still have the relaxing

ambience with no need for the heat.

Electric fires suit all homes and, in our opinion, especially new build homes. Chimney breasts are no longer built into houses which makes electric fires a substantial option for a cosy, modern centre piece without the

added work of installing any gas points or twin wall flue.

Electric fires come in a wide variety of sizes; you can get them up to 2 metres long! They are all very

impressive with most offering a heat setting, the maximum kw you will every get is 2kw, no matter

how big or small the electric fire may be. Most come conveniently remote control, making it much

easier; you can sit on the sofa and flick the channels at the same time as switching the fire on and

changing the flame… as easy as that!
